I also lost my brother and experienced that deep, overwhelming sense of grief. Later (much later in my case), I experienced (and still do) a deep, overwhelming sense of joy. I'm with you..."why not?" "...I came that you may have life, and have it in the full." John 10:10.

Yes, it’s slow work to get there isn’t it? I’m sorry about the loss of your brother. It’s so peculiar to lose a sibling.

I love the line "Their faces have blurred with time, and still their stories remain." I have so many similar memories of pain and sorrow. I have begun numerous times to try and write them yet it seems to be more self-aggrandizing than naming the holy. One I did complete. It was the story of from our family's history. I will bring you a copy of it this Sunday.
